Ian Brown joined CIG in 2022 as an Asset Manager with nearly a decade of varied experience in the real estate industry.

Prior to joining CIG, Ian served as the Acquisitions Director for Offerpad in Austin, TX, where he managed the valuation and acquisition process of residential assets in the Austin-metro. He was also a Property Tax Consultant with Texas Protax and managed a portfolio of over 1,000 commercial accounts including industrial, medical, multi-family, retail, and storage and in excess of 2,000 residential and land accounts. He prepared and defended property tax appeals as well as participating in arbitrations and litigation when traditional remedy was insufficient. He started in real estate as a Sales Associate with Patrick Brown, Real Estate Consultant Inc., his family’s once-boutique real estate consulting firm specializing in Appraisal, Sales and Property Tax dispute resolution.

Ian is a proud Baylor MBA, but will always cheer on the Texas Longhorns, his undergraduate alma mater.
